Renewing wedding vows?
Asked on: 12 Oct 2008
Can someone please tell me about renewing wedding vows onboard. We are booked on the Emerald Princess next March just got of the phone with my sister who is joining us and she asked if we were going to be renewing our vows I had not thought about it. So any information would be great.
We will be celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary next September but decided to cruise in March as I will not cruise during hurricane season.

Does Clark know Lois thought it was him reciting the vows?
Asked on: 06 Dec 2008
Okay sorry for the confusing title, but we all saw Clark reciting Jimmy's vows, and poor 'ol Lois thinking Clark was reciting it for her ("from the moment I met you, I knew i wanted to spend the rest of my life together"). And then Lois turns around, thinking it was for her, and Clark gives her this look. IDK, but do you think Clark knew or had some clue that she thought he was reciting it, or is he still clueless. Maybe he did since after he said "jimmy's vows are really sweet" he had this look...

Jewish/Catholic wedding -- question about vows?
Asked on: 21 Jan 2008
Hi folks,
Hoping that brides who've managed to pull off the rabbi/priest wedding will have some insight here. My priest isnt being terribly helpful as far as some of the ceremony specifics are concerned, out of consideration, I think, to the rabbi...anyway, the priest needed permission to bend the rules regarding place and form (I forget the formal name for what he asked for, but our paperwork has been turned in to the diocese) and Im trying to find out, should that give us leeway to essential...

Too $hort vows to pimp the system?
As told to Ozone Magazine West:
Nobody really knows how I became Too $hort "the dirty rapper." Most people only know the story of me selling cassette tapes out of the trunk of my car before I made it big. I didn't write explicit lyrics until I noticed how much people liked it when I used curse words in my rhymes. It was always on some comedy shit. The truth is I didn't even have a car before I made it big; I sold tapes with my rap partner Freddy B on the bus or...

vows - traditional or writing your own?
Asked on: 03 Apr 2007
Is anyone writing their own vows? What do people think about this idea? We thought of maybe just adding one extra concerning our journey in faith and how we would be accountable to each other, onto the end of the traditional vows...

Would you renew your vows?
Asked on: 04 Feb 2005
Just wondering if you think one day that you would renew your wedding vows?
Hubby and I have always said that if we ever go to Las Vegas we are having an Elvis wedding in the little white chapel, but as far as seriously renewing your vows I think it would be a sweet thing to do many years from now on our wedding anniversary.

Literary/humanist vows?
Asked on: 30 Nov 2008
I just thought of this the other day. Has anyone else here ever used Quote: s by their favorite authors/artists to create a unique ceremony and what was the format? We are going to write our own vows as well but the ones we say together we want to be meaningful too. Here's an example of what I was thinking.
Officiant: Since these two are so unique, they wanted to make their vows unique and meaningful to themselves so they came up with a new way to do things.
I will say your favorite Quote: s by...

Why Aren't Final Religious Vows A Sacrament?
Asked on: 21 Nov 2007
I was just wondering about this and my Novice Mistress said it was because we have the sacrament of baptism - but so do married couples and priests. so why don't religious who make final profession, get to have a sacrament for their solemn vows? Any theological basis for this?
