What do you prefer, soaps or creams?
Asked on: 19 Dec 2008
Please tell us which you prefer, why you prefer it, and which products you like best.
I just thought I would add that though I haven't tried many of either yet, of the ones I have tried I've found creams are easier to lather, but it's more difficult for me to achieve a slickness level with cream that's equal to what I get from a soap. For me, EASY lather doesn't necessarily mean SLICK lather.

When was shaving soap/cream first used?
Asked on: 06 Nov 2008
My 10 year old grandaughter and a group of her classmates have decided to do a report on shaving cream. I have been as helpful as possible supplying soap samples and an old boar brush for them to display. One question that has us all stumped is when was shaving soap/cream first used? I figured that someone here could shed some light on the subject.

Asked on: 28 Jul 2007
I'm just getting into the world of wet shaving. Been looking to replace my M3 blades and possibly buy a Fusion when I came across many websites and these forums showing that there is such thing as a close shave with out razor burn(and cheaper blades too). Anyway I starting out with nothing and have a basic idea of what to get, looking on ebay right now for a fatboy or other adjustable. Also I'll be picking up a multipack of razors.
The brush I was looking at is the Edwin Jagger super badger. 2 q...

anyone know of a honey scented soap or cream?
Asked on: 28 Dec 2008
I've been looking at various vendors' offerings - and I don't recall having seen any honey scented SCs or soaps - honey alone, or in combination.
I really like the Perlier honey shower gels and moisturizing creams - it occurred to me that a honey scented shave might be nice.
thanks in advance!
