slow, slow, slow, slow... what's up digi?   Asked on: 14 Mar 2003
I'm on a T1... but the forums lately have crawled to a snails pace! What gives? I noticed problems (outages) yesterday... Where's the clog? Digi... the forums are only useful to me if they operate at a reasonable speed. I know UBB has issues with large loads... Is there anything you can do? like separating forums onto different servers or something? Not whining, mind you... <g>

How slow is TOO slow for you?   Asked on: 15 Sep 2008
Hypothetical scenario: all motorcycles are physically limited during manufacture to a maximum top speed, and they cannot be modded to go faster. Choose the speed above that applies to you in the following statement: "I would STILL ride a motorcycle even if top speed were physically limited to ____mph." Think about this one now—put differently, how slow is TOO slow for you?

X300 SSD slow? being full slows it maybe?   Asked on: 26 Oct 2008
Dear all, i've been using X300 since august, the day i got it i installed Linux ubuntu and took 50% of the disk for linux and 50% for vista (guess what out of the box 25GB is already used for vista!) anyhow i feel the machine is slow not really like an SSD, i do have 4GB ram though but comparing it with other SSD devices such as Asus EEE Pc the 8gb disk it boots into xandros linux (the default os it has) in 8-13 seconds for mine its about a minute also day-to-day tasks are pretty slow some how,...

How slow is too slow?   Asked on: 19 Nov 2008
My driveway is a half mile long dirt. We had over 100 inches of snow last year so my Boss Sport Duty got a good work out. I have no complaints at all with this blade. We had one snow fall that left three foot plus deep drifts that were over 100 yards long. Fortunately my neighbor (who's a farmer) has a monster size farm tractor and he cut a path for me to work from. If I had to do the first trip through, I'm not sure I could have made it. What's the best way to approach a situation like this? Mo...

Slow Carrera Bentley? Are they all slow?   Asked on: 04 Jun 2008
Have any of you experienced how slow the Carrera Bentley is out of the box? I put Indy Grips on mine & it's really nice & smooth & I've run it quite a while so the brushes should have made friends with the commutator , but it hasn't gotten a whole lot faster. I'm thinking that I might have a motor with really bad commutator timing & I should just try a different motor. Can you guys suggest a quicker motor that would drop in easily without cutting up the chassis? Thanks.

Slow Macs - Virus?   Asked on: 02 Dec 2008
If you've transferred files from a PPC Mac that included any system files, plug-ins, etc., then you may be running your machine on PPC code which will indeed make it much slower. If Spotlight is in the process of indexing the hard drive that, too, will slow down the computer until indexing has completed. I am using 1.0.15 and my site is SLOW. Is it the template?   Asked on: 11 Nov 2008
Hello all, I used to use joomla a bit, and now I am entering the scene again. This time around I am using a template for my church's site, and my choices seemed few and far between with things I liked. I am left with this template: http://demo.atict.com/index.php?jos_cha ... _ecommerce The problem is that it is super slow. I didn't think it was from the version I am on, as I have another site that doesn't have too much problems loading. I will post the link if that isn't against the rules, but I...
