Have you guys ever had any terrifying hallucinations when trying to enter sleep paralysis? (Example, the old hag or the shadow creatures)

Is there a difference between pitch darkness and shadow?

I'm having some trouble with this concept: when does darkness become shadow? Is a globe of pitch black the same as shadow or does "shadow" need a light source, sorta like the color black needing white to become gray?
The main reason I'm asking is because I'm trying to decide if a character could summon a shadow creature or create shadow objects inside a "black spot". It seems to me that magical darkness "cancels" out light and so doesn't actualy create what I think of as "shadow".

Is 4cc viable in a strongly Sligh meta? Can 5th Dawn help?

For starters, I have a tournament this Saturday, and the organizer is allowing Fifth Dawn to be included. My metagame can be summed up in one word. Sligh. Lots of Sligh. When I say Sligh, I mean tons and tons of red, sideboarding to hate anything blue and powered. This is unfortunate, because I play fully powered 4-color Control.
