[GLASS] Setting or No Setting?

The original GLASS v1 release deliverable was planned as a book that is almost all System (a la TriStat) with some "micro-settings": Genre chapters with common Abilities (Skills, Powers, Spells, etc), Attribute ranges (min, starting, and max), and packages (sets of Abilities that are made free by coupling them to Disadvantages).

Setting up a company intranet - best practices?

Hey all.
I'm using Joomla to set up a company intranet. I created a forced-login page by looking around on the forums. I'm wondering what other sort of measures can be taken to make sure an intranet site is secure -- from visitors, from search engines, etc. I currently put a password on my site via cPanel to make sure nobody can access it -- however, we'd obviously like to eliminate that.
