Can I run a script from another script? Asked on: 02 Dec 2008
Pretty much what the title says. Is there a neat clean way to name a script and run it from another script. For example, my script "checktheboard" needs to finish what its doing and then I need to run my "movepieces" script. Trying to keep things compartmentalized, because my game is getting huge. If its all in one script it gets messy. Keep in mind I'm still learning, so please be specific. Thanks for yur help. guruhunt P.S. All my scripts need gamelogic, if that makes a difference.

Evaluating script != Run Script? Asked on: 18 Dec 2008
Hi, I have recently run into a rather strange problem, if what I think is happening is indeed doing so. I have written a short script to perform a few tedious tasks automatically, and it works just fine when I have it open in the editor window, and evaluate it (Ctrl+E). However, if I choose Run Script from the MAXScript window, I get a different result - nothing so obvious as a broken script, though it no longer does what I intended it to. Scripts 7.3 -> 7.5- Disable 7.3 script afterwards? Asked on: 11 Dec 2008
Alright, so 7.3 is a .spk and 7.5 is a .exe that you extract, drag an drop- But does Cycrows script package installer overwrite 7.5 stuff with 7.3 every time it updates the file list? I'm just having problems with my install right now and I'm wondering if this may be part of the issue.. I'm also wary of outright disabling the 7.3 .spk because I don't know exactly what that would do.

when making or editting an item you can set the start-publishing-date using the wonderfull dhtml-calender. I would like to use the calender in my component. so how to call for the javascript-initiation-script? underneath is the outputted script. So can just paste this in my admin-page, but then the language does not change with the language of the admin-user. How to make a PGO script for Thunderbird? Asked on: 24 Oct 2008
PGO is not supported for Thunderbird from comm-central. So you must first edit the client.mk for PGO (no problem) and you must have a PGO script for Thunderbird. It doesn't work if you use the mozilla nightly PGO script for Firefox (this gives a destructed Thunderbird). But I don't know how a PGO script for Thunderbird must look like. And I don't know how to decide what to optimize for and how to create a correct profile for that case. Can anyone help me with a PGO script for Thunderbird? Maybe...

Scripts [SCRIPTS] Deploy OWP - Bug or am I expecting too much? Asked on: 10 Aug 2008
When I use the Retrieve OWP it packs the OWP up, and throws all it's cargo in my TL's freight bay. Unfortunately, when I use the Deploy command, all of that cargo stays in the TL. Also, the OWP is named: Your {17,12203}. This is from a Yaki OWP that I swiped...not for money, actually, I had a scheme to add one OWP to each of my Ollerus's. Park Ollerus -> Deploy gate -> Deploy OWP. Are the Retrieve/Deploy OWP commands supposed to strip the OWP and leave it as such? From a technical standpoi...

I am just wondering if there is special script to build your webhosting website, such as ticket, client are, cart, etc. Maybe using wordpress, joomla, subdreamer, or anything else? Or just pure html?
