Asked on: 26 Feb 2008
I've just moved our backups from tape to a NAS device (backup-to-disk). When backing up to tape, the "Enable restore of individual messages and folders from information store" option worked fine as long as I had enough space on the disk to write the store to a temp directory when I needed to restore something. Is there a way to find out total size I'm restoring before doing restore?...
Asked on: 09 Oct 2006
Hi,
Is there any way to determine the total size of data I'm going to restore without having to sum up all the individual file sizes? That way I would know how much space I need to do the restore. I'm currently using Netbackup 6.0 MP3.
Thanks,
Enoch

Does anyone know whether the NetBackup restore requires extra disk space to store temporary files during the restore process just as the backup does?

How do I restore an item from the Trash?
Asked on: 13 Dec 2008
I put a lot of things in the trash which I didn't mean to. I have not emptied the trash. How can I restore them to exactly the folders they all came from? On Windows, there is an option "Restore" which does this.
