which ball valve - high pressure or low pressure?
Asked on: 29 Jul 2005
Hello,
Should I purchase a ball valve marked 'high pressure' or one that is
marked 'low pressure'? It's for the water tank in the loft fed by the
rising main.
Hope I make sense
Wayne.

Low-pressure to high-pressure?
Asked on: 07 Nov 2008
I understand sometimes a headache can change from low-pressure to high-pressure after surgical repair of the dura. Does anyone know if it is possible for this to happen during the natural healing process of the dura?
I'm assuming that after a sudden seal of the dura, the body is so used to over-producing csf that when the hole is closed up and there is no longer a leak, the pressure can build and cause a high-pressure headache. I wouldn't assume the same would be true in the case of the body clo...

High oil pressure or crank case pressure or both?
Asked on: 29 Dec 2008
OK, my car is finally running but its leaking oil. Or, IMO, oil pushing past seals and gaskets. One problem area is the valve cover in the spark plug area. Its actually getting in the spark plug wells and also pooling on the valve cover itself. The valve cover gasket has been replaced (more than once). Its also leaking from somewhere else but I haven't had a chance to pinpoint it yet. I'm thinking rear main seal as its dripping off the transfer case.
I don't have an oil pressure gauge other than...

Pressure Pump - pressure switch setting?
Asked on: 04 Jan 2006
I have a Grundfos CH2-30 pressure pump and no instruction manual and the Grundfos website is of no help. Got someone in to adjust the pressure switch when I wasn't at home so I was unable to watch over their shoulder and thereby avoid paying them to come next time it needs adjusting.
Can anyone help with how you set the pressure switch limits. ie what dial does what with the pressure switch?

consiglio su scelta pettorina: 661 pressure suit o pro pressure suit?
Asked on: 25 Nov 2008
grassie ;)

lazy oil pressure - aprox. time for oil pressure to build up?
Asked on: 02 Jan 2009
Hi all,
we have around 14° F over here and my trucks engine (318, Carter BBD, 15W40 Castrol Oil, mileage unknown) did make some "scary" "klunk-klunk-klunk" noise this morning for about 5 seconds.
Sounded like shot rod bearings but the noise disappeared after 5 seconds as described.
This leads me to the question, how long it should take the engine to build up oil-pressure?
Or better: how long should it take the original oil pressure gauge to show oil pressure?
(Sometime oil-pressure drops to none...
