SWAT militants, who are they?
Asked on: 28 Dec 2008
Asslamo Allaikum,
I have been reading up about the SWAT (Pakistan) insurgency issue for a while and there are some issues which make me doubt the scenario in the way it has been portrayed.
1) Dr Israr Ahmed gave the speech in which he approached some natives (of SWAT)and they indicated that they dont recognise these people who are asking for Shariah to be established in their area i.e. they are not natives
2) Some of the dead have been found to be uncircumcised (evidence provided by Pakistani...

Iraq invasion strengthened the militants
Car bombs have almost as long a history as the car. What has changed since the invasion of Iraq is that bombers targeting civilian targets in the West now have a popular base and access to expertise in the Sunni community of Iraq.

Mumbai top policemen killed not by militants but by Indians?
Asked on: 19 Dec 2008
This is what a lot of people have been saying that Mumbai's anti-terrorism chief Hemant Karkare and two other top police officers were killed because they were investigating the "role of Hindu radicals in two bombings in Maharashtra state which killed at least eight people in September". (Quote: from the article mentioned below).
See BBC story that an Indian Minister is also now suggesting the same so it appears that there has to be truth in this story.

Does it bother you when women date militant Black guys? Guys who claim to be soo down with their "roots" or "the cause"? It confounds me. Why are women attracted to this type of guy? What is so special about him? Why couldn't this type of guy die out in the 90s?
And if you are a militant Black guys, what type of women do you usually date?

Chuck Colson associates what he calls the new "militant atheism" with Islamo-fascism, thus connecting atheism to terrorism. Are atheists the next in line to be monitored by Homeland Security?

Why the militancy against Christmas?
Asked on: 26 Oct 2008
I've noticed that those who were born Christians but later left it often have a strong zeal for destroying almost everything connected to that faith, like being against Christmas as something "true atheists" don't celebrate.
However, many who were raised in non-religious families - like myself - have a much more relaxed attitude.
So why have recent deconverts such an aggressive attitude to various traditions? Really, what's wrong with Christmas?
Basically, people up here in the north have celebr...
