Asked on: 28 Nov 2008
Guess I'll turn this into a cheap tricks thread. Anybody know of some good homemade stuff for a naturally aspriated V8 in a moderate-mild climate?

Hidden Lines Duplicating Object Lines on a 3D Solid?
Asked on: 22 Dec 2008
Hello:
I've been a 2D AutoCAD guy for years and years, but I've now taken it upon myself to learn 3D stuff. So I've got a 3D solid drawn, let's call it a simple box with a counterbore in it for now. In my layout, I'm wanting to show a Hidden Line view. I've got this setup, but the problem is that the hidden lines are duplicated over top of the actual object lines. So in the front view you'd be seeing four hidden lines (I've chosen green) over top of the four solid lines that depict the outside o...

Lines West/Lines East?
Asked on: 21 Nov 2008
In stories relating to the Pennsy, I have often seen the term "Lines West" and also, but less frequently, "Lines East".
So the question is, west (or east) of what or where? Mechanically inclined, politically incorrect, X-ray equipped.

What line would be a good match with s/r/d lines?
Asked on: 06 Nov 2008
Generally speaking of course.
What would you put with a Sandro Hit, Rubenstein, Donnerhall mare?
Are there any proven lines with this bloodline combination?

keeping your quad lines straight?
Asked on: 21 Jul 2007
how do you store a set of quad lines...
do you put all the right lines on one spool and all your left lines on another?
do you put your main lines on one spool and your brake lines on another?
also do your main lines and brake lines have to be the exact same length? if not what is the range?
what is easiest to set up when you are in the field?
thanks,
Rob

Auto Line Winders for Dual Lines?
Asked on: 12 Apr 2008
So, i'm kinda lazy and tired after a long flight session...
And i'm wondering if anybody uses or has made auto or crank line winders for dual lines?
Been thinking about this for while now, and have discovered that the standard single line winders often have huge spools which don't fit in any of my kite bags.
I'm also concerned about putting tensions on the lines whilst in storage.
Any input on this would be greatly appreciated
