Front Fog Lights Or Road Lights?

On a different tack from the other questions about fogged fog lights...
Are the front fog lights just fog lights?
When I had a ikle XR2 for a while
the front fog lights were described as "Road Lights"
They lit the road just in front of the car and were fab for country lanes where full beam and dipped main lights worked well for the road, but the road lights filled in the blanks.
I now have a T3-x - with front "fog" lights.
are these too bright to use as "road lights"
I have seen them on, o...

led tail lights and backup lights?
Asked on: 21 Jun 2007
Ok I was given 2 round led lites to put in my jeep, I love the flush mount idea, but I will lose my back up lights. All I havs found says to use 55 watt
driving lights for back up lights. Do I need driving lights or fog lights?
How do i wire them, and will they come on when i put the jeep in reverse, or do I have to flip a switich?
I am putting this mod on an 02 jeep tj.
I am sure this has been covered, but I havent been able to find it so far, any help will be greatly appreciated.

Lights on? Lights off?
Asked on: 01 Sep 2007
I was curious about how long people generally leave their aquarium lights running versus turning them off.
Does anyone leave the lights on all the time? What are the negatives of doing so?
My kids each have a tank in their rooms as well and the aquarium light makes a great night light. So I was wondering if having the lights on during the night and off during the day is okay?
Thanks in adavnce for replies.

OEM Fog Lights or OEM Driving Lights?
Asked on: 13 Aug 2008
I just purchased my first 04 titan kc xe today after owning a ram and a chevy and I must say the power is quite comparable to the dodge even though it's got 40 less hp.
My question was which oem fog lights should I go with since the xe doesn't come with any. Yellow or Clear?
I live on the coast of Maine so we get quite a bit of bad weather up here (snow, rain, sleet, fog) and I'm not sure which would be the better way to go. Driving lights or true Fog lights?
Thanks,
Drew

LED courtesy lights, rope lights?
Asked on: 29 Aug 2008
I'm rebuilding an 18' Crestliner and want to add a bunch of interior lights since I do a lot of night fishing. I've seen LED rope lights that look like they would work great tucked under the gunwales of the boat,,, maybe attached to the bottom lip of the gunwale?
I'm thinking of 6' of rope lights per side, too much light, too little? Also, what is the best color of light for night use and not getting blinded, blue, red, amber?
Any pros or cons to using the LED rope lights?

aftermarket lights and stock fog light connection?
Asked on: 24 Apr 2006
Hi all, excuse me if this topic has previously been discussed. I have an '04 XE that came with no fog lights, but I noticed that the connection is there for them. I just ordered some 55watt hella driving/fog lights to mount on my custom steel bumper and would like to ask if it is possible to connect the lights to the stock connection and get a switch or would it just be easier to run the wire that comes with the pair?? I am sure the ladder is the better way, but I wanted to ask nonetheless. Than...
