Bubble level or Torpedo Level?
Asked on: 30 Mar 2008
When I installed my mast today I first leveled the mast using the bubble level and got the bubble perfectly in the centered in the circle, but then when I verified with my torpedo level it showed it perfectly leveled vertically but when I mounted it to the side of the pole it showed it was not even close to level. I know many people recommend a torpedo level versus the included bubble level but I didnt think there would be a big difference. Does anyone think that perhaps there is a defect in the...

Group shared experience gain: Is it determined by character levels or ship...
Asked on: 26 Feb 2008
For example, say I am a level 30. My friend is level 8. We are sinking ships together. Using historical MMORPG reasoning, we would believe that my level 8 friend is getting much less experience because I'm such a higher level. Fair. After all, in "most" MMORPGs, character level is a prime factor in determing a character's power.
But. This game doesn't theoretically work that way.
This game isn't quite determined by "character level", but rather by "ship level". For example, a level 50 character...

MY SETUP: Speaker Level or Line Level?
Asked on: 18 Dec 2008
Here is my setup
POLK
sub: PSW350
frnt: TC60i
cntr: CS1
srnd: RC60i
My amp has three crossover points for sub: 100, 150 & 200
If I use LINE level setup then I am limited to these frequency cut-offs
If I use Speaker Level (which I did with my old 6600 speakers), I have the full range of the subs crossover nob on the back :-)
I am leaning towards the Speaker Level setup.

A laser level for scope leveling?
Asked on: 24 Mar 2007
Question Guys,
Does anyone else use a laser level for scope leveling. Sears had a laser lever kit on sale a couple of years ago and I thought I needed one so the better half picked one up for me. It is roughly a 5-6 inches triangle platform that can be attached to a tripod or used as is with its own base. The base is leveled with its own bubble levels and it projects lines either horizontal or vertical against a surface. They market them for projecting a line on a wall to leval cabinets for inst...

Adjusting the recording level with trim or with the level?
Asked on: 10 Jan 2007
That's a pretty basic question!
In the past I've always adjusted the recording level this way: pushing the trim at it's maximum without distorting and then adjusting the level fader to match the optimum recording level.
I'm questioning myself if it would be better to set the level fader at 0 and then adjusting the trim to match the good recording level.
I'm asking that because I found the following on another forum and I don't get the difference between both..
From another forum:
"Because the mi...

Level Dimension doesn't like Reference levels?
Asked on: 07 Dec 2007
I'm not sure about this, but I thought I'd be able to place Level Dimensions on the floor plan displaying relative to the Reference levels I've set using the Working Units and References Preference setting.
Placing them on the surface of meshes and slabs works fine using gravity, but they display relative to the Project Zero all the time, despite my setting efforts.
To get it right i have to edit every level dimension using the Custom Text option. Annoying.
Can anyone confirm this is a bug in AC...

I'm looking for a simple circuit to bump an line-level out to about 10 volts peak to peak. I want to build several of them and run it off of my modular's +/-15 volt power supply. Any suggestions?
