We know that we are being lied to. Sometimes we just don't realize how much we are being lied to.

Islamic circles and islamic friends?

Salam everyone
Does anyone know of any good islamic circles happening in London during the week. I'm keen to learn more about Islam.
Also, what advice do people give on making new friends who are muslim?
I have friends but they are all english and do not believe in Allah. Long term I think this is not good for me and my children to grow up in. Which is why I want to try and make the change now. Inshallah

As for the second quetion, I think politics and ideologies will interfere and the name "Islamic" will be excluded when "Islamic" changes take place in the global financial system.

reading a story on BBC about Islamic Bank to expand UK network
and i was wondering, HOW does a Islamic Bank make any profit??? (since theres not interest involved whatsoever) then how does it make any money for itself and its shareholders?
seems only way you can run a Islamic Bank is to 1) do it feesabillah (for the sake of God - like a Monastry, or Soup Kitchen) or 2) be prepared to take losses
if your in it to get rich... dont bother

Islamic Issues?

ASA,
Just wondering about the name of the forum called "Islamic Issues." Since everything in a Muslims life is an Islamic Issue this name doesn't really make sense to me.
If I'm not mistaken the "Islamic Issues" forum is to discuss issues that are felt to be for "Muslims Only".
In which case, perhaps it would be better and more correct to call it the "Muslims Only" Forum.
Any thoughts?
