[Games Workshop] Where'd Specialist Games go?
Asked on: 08 Dec 2008
Title says it all, really. What happened to the Specialist Games section of the Games Workshop website? It had all those wonderful games for free, and forums to discuss them on, but now it's vanished! I've found some vague references around elsewhere to it being taken down, but no reasons why, or when.

If no games had ANY DRM how would it effect games?
Asked on: 30 Nov 2008
Okay, let's say from this moment on publishers didn't put ANY kind of DRM or copy protection on their games, do you think the state of PC games would get better, worse, or not much change (overall, not just for us)?

love making games inside games?
Asked on: 03 Nov 2006
do you also love creating your own games inside existing games? and find them way superior in both content and fun?
the first time i found out how much fun that can be was with the playstation game tenchu, you could access a developer mode menu and get lots of extra items, then climb up a roof and throw down poisoned rice and watch the guards die after eating it, great times those were indeed!
the second and even better game which allowed such gamer created scenarios was half life with its conso...

Are 2D 16bit console games better than 2D arcade games?
Asked on: 02 Nov 2008
Because if they are, I'd like to know why *CGA* is not flooded with 1000's of gamers on a daily basis?
I mean seriously....is that NOT a sad, depressing, and disturbing site to see?
Why is it that, if 2-player 16bit 2D consoles games such as:
Super Mario World
Super Metroid
Sonic the Hedgehog
Altered Beast
Streets of Rage 2
Seiken Densetsu 3
The 2-player version of Mike Tyson's Punchout
are more fun to play online than arcade 2D games such as:
Street Fighter 2 Turbo
SF III Third Strike
KOF98

Adventure Games vs. RPG Games -- Is there a difference?
Asked on: 07 May 2003
A friend of mine and I had a pretty lengthy arguement about adventure games and RPG games -- mainly, whether or not they were one and the same genre.
(This is summerized, just to let you know.)
The arguement was whether or not Dragon Warrior for the NES was an adventure game or an RPG. My friend stated that it had the same game mechanics as an RPG, except for the fact that you only had one character, which didn't make it not an RPG.
