Do You Think Gambling Is Wrong?

The only good thing I see coming from gambling is when someone actually wins. Whether it's poker,lottery,slot machines,football pools and others of course. Who wouldn't want to win some mad cash?
We all know that no form of gambling is guaranteed, unless you're the only one that's playing. Since it's clear that the average person usually loses more than he/she wins, then wouldn't the bad out weigh the good?
Do gambling destroy a lot of homes and families? Can it kick you out in the streets? Mayb...

One of the most addictive parts of playing Star Wars Knights Of The Old Republic was playing the gambling mini-game P'Tak (unsure of spelling)...
I think a little gambling game thrown in on certain worlds, with gambling dens and all would allow for players to have a side-game they could spend an hour on and increase the liklyhood that people would stay with the MMO longer...

Is playing online games for money officially classed as gambling?
Personally if it is I don't think it should be. Here's why.
With the new law recently introduced in the US which has abolished online gambling I think there is a market in the US for playing games for money.
Let me explain. Online gambling was incredibly popular in America. These online gamblers now have no way of gambling online because of the recent law. So what about playing online games in order to win money? Is that gambling?...

Should Gambling Be legalized?

I'm not looking at total gambling, such as during high-school or college games, but at Casinos being built wherever they want to.
So yeah, in terms of casinos, this type of gambling at Casinos should be legalized

Alright, so of course you can set up an arena with some friends, and have spectators bet on the victor. That needs no system. But, what i want to know, is there gambling? What if i want to play poker, blackjack, etc.

Gambling Winnings?

Hi Everyone!
I've got a question regarding proceeds from gambling. Let's say someone foolishly started playing on PartyPoker and just luckily won just over what there regular one years salary is.
How is this taxed? How is it reported? There are very little records to indicate what happened other then the deposit and withdrawl slip.

Online Gambling?

Recently I was thinking of how I could get a little bit of extra cash quickly and gambling came to mind. There are no casinos around here though so I was wondering how to do it online, and if it's safe. I'm pretty good at black jack, so I'd probably stick to that if I did something like this.
