How do I change all forums/index.php urls with forums/ in the forums?

Hi,
I want my homepage to be domainname.com/forums so that is what people type in and that is what I would get ranked and listed for in the search engines. That works fine when I type it in, but when I go to a sub forum and then click back to the homepage using the breadcrumb navigation it takes me to domainname.com/forums/index.php. I tried romoving the index in the url in the administrator control panel and it then turns it to domainname.com/forums/.php

Forums, Sub-forums Can Have Some Sub-Forums?

Hi all,
I wonder if forums or subs of them also can have some sub forums instead of only Threads.
Merchants Square's can have Sellers, Buyers parts
Technical Area's can have a special sub to hold announces, news, information about latest and wide problems or similar
and more?
If it can be or is better to be? What you think?

What has happened to my CH forums spell checker on my forums posts?

I have come to rely heavely on the "spell Checker" in the posts so as to minimize the appearance of the absolute terrible speller that i tend to be. It is no longer appearing at the bottom where "post or preview" are displayed. Is it something i have done to lose it or has the function been eliminated? How can i get it back (without first creating the text in another document creator ie; microsoft office,etc)? truenorth

Former paid members unable to see forums?

Is there any reason why former paid members do not have access to the support forums? I can understand not being able to post new questions, but it seems overly restrictive that as a two-time paid member that I can't search for solutions to bugs and other questions that come up in the course of site maintenance.
I especially feel like restricting forum access is unfair because some of the templates, such as JA Teline II, which I use on my main site, had so many bugs, that user submitted solution...

Do you buy smaller forums to grow your forum?

Do you guys buy smaller forums from other webmasters to combine with your forum and do you build your forum from the ground up?
Merging smaller forums with your forum can help your forum grow faster but is it worth the financial cost?
