Am I the only one who finds this odd?
Asked on: 08 Dec 2008
I rather enjoy the festive holiday images that the site has been putting up this season...but the menorah for Hannukah today seems to be taken from the Arch of Septimus Severus in Rome...showing a menorah that was taken as booty from the sack of Jerusalem.
Am I right? Am I the only one who finds this slightly disconcerting?

Weekend finds Anyone?
Asked on: 02 Nov 2008
I didn't see a weekend finds thread. If I missed one already posted, please let me know and I'll delete this one.
These are some of the other things that came home with me from last week's auction. I'm just now getting around to taking photos of all of it.
This iron bed is really neat. I made the drape for it out of an antique petticoat. I think it would have originally had some sort of netting hanging down from a circle shaped fitting, but haven't made it that far yet.
I wanted the old trunk be...

Can US finds the Weapon of Mass Destruction in Iraq?
Asked on: 10 Jun 2003
Can US finds the Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD) in Iraq? It has already been two months since US occupied Baghdad. But up to now, the US troops haven't found any signs of chemical and biological weapons. This goes to question the validity and credibility of the bush administration for their chief reason in attacking Iraq. If WMD cannot be found, people will question whether Bush was lying to the world.
What do you think?

What have been your best Craigslist finds?
Asked on: 02 Jan 2009
I am a Craigslist junkie, no thanks to some folks here who kept talking about it until I just had to find out what it was all about. Now I buy and sell a lot of things on there.
My best finds:
Best over all is the twin 4 poster bed frame and matching nightstand. They are made by Broyhill and are cherry. I paid $55 for them!
My entertainment armoire. I had been looking for one for several months. The problems I ran into were that I was not willing to pay $200 for one, and I needed on that my 32"...

Splitting the finds?
Asked on: 15 Apr 2004
Personally I hate the idea...
I think we should keep them all together.. so i don't have to troll through multiple threads to find stuff...
What's your opinion on the matter...

Is it just me that finds all these blogspots annoying?
Asked on: 09 Sep 2008
While I would never want to discourage people from showing their results here, I am finding it such a pain in the arse to copy/paste the ever increasing number of blogspot url's to see any pictures. I mean how hard is it to use the website function here?
I know Farrell posted about this, but I really felt like having a whinge about it. There, I feel better already!

Finds windows for recovery console, but not for repair install?
Asked on: 27 Sep 2008
Just had this problem on my neighbor's (albeit messed up) PC. I boot off the XP (SP3) disk and,
-for purposes of starting recovery console - it can find the existing windows install
-if I try to do a new windows install, it alerts me that a windows XP installation exists
BUT
-if I try to do a repair install, it doesn't find the windows XP installation
Order of events
1a) boot off XP disk
2a) select "R" for recovery console
3a) asks which windows install to use (default c:\windows)
4a) I get prom...

Am I the only one who finds GAN cumbersome to use?
Asked on: 01 Oct 2008
I'm surprised that there is no negative feedback about GAN in this forum. I find it to be very annoying to use, especially compared to CJ's interface. There are no product links for those of us who don't want to deal with setting up an FTP site for datafeeds, and the BYOL tool doesn't let you just create one link after another unless you go back and refresh the form. I know you can upload your own links, but they (and the BYOL) links take like an hour to start working. So basically, if you like...
