G-tech at the Drag Strip?

Has anyone here tried to run their G-tech while at the drag strip to compare the results with the track clock? I haven't used one in YEARS but I imagine it would be tough to try and set the crapper up while watching the lights come on
I was wondering about that tonight and thought I'd ask!

1st time at the Drag Strip, advice?

I'm taking my s2k to the wednesday night drags at Infineon this week for shits and giggles. Basically i'm just curious to see what kind of 1/4 mile time it runs and to hanging out at the track chopp'n it up with other car freaks would be fun. Do you guys have any advice for a first timer at the strip? i read all the regulations and the car meets those fine, but any tips you could provide would be cool.
loose the spare tire? my friend is coming to watch i can dump whatever in his car.

Drag Strip in Socal?

I'd love to take my car to the track but the one place i knew about (Carlsbad Raceway) has been closed and paved over for years.

recommended drag strip rubber?

After runnin' S.U. at the track yesterday, I realized that I need rear tires that are better suited for the job. Current tires on back are the Fulda 225/60R15's. I was spinning off the line for the first half of first gear. Could feel the rear end floating. Quickest 1/4 mile was 15.96. She could do much better if she could get a grip on the track.
Here's what I need to work around ...
--I have extra wheels here at home to use. I am not buying new wheels just for racing 'cause I can't afford it....

Racing a Hemi at drag strip tomorrow any tips?

Hey guys I'm taking the Titan to the strip tomorrow nite. Its the last night of the season before they shut down. I have never run at the drag strip so its new to me. Any tips at all are welcome. Track.. Autocross.. Drag strip... what's the most fun?

I've done a few track days and had a lot of fun, but I'm considering taking my car to an autocross and a drag strip as well just to get the full motor sport cross section of experience.
So my question to you guys is... Which do you find to be the most fun? And does anyone here do all 3 on a regular basis?

Most Embarrassing Drag Strip Moment?

Reading Crosley's Falcon post took me back to when my older brother and I ran a G/Stock '58 Chevy Delray 2 door sedan, 250 HP 348, 4 speed. It was 1966 and I was just out of high school and thought I was pretty cool to be the "Official Driver" of our low buck junior stocker. So what was my most embarrassing moment?
