Is Demitra worth 4 million?

Sooner or later someone had to bring it up.
Not to bash the guy. He's fun to watch when he's on. He might turn it up with the arrival of Sundin.
But so far into this season, doesn't 4 million seems like a lot for his limited role?
Demitra = 4x Wellwood (1 million/player)
Demitra = 2x Kesler (raises for Burrows, Hansen & Bernier next season)
Demitra = 2 million raise for each Sedin next season.
I am just thinking about the possibility, not actually trading him. Can Demitra be traded? Could he fet...

Is it possible that Demitra is what the Sedins need?

The never ending series of line-mates playing with the Sedins that have not been able to establish an effective connection is a long list.
But when I watch Demitra playing with the Sedins, it sometimes looks like the Sedin triplets. They look like they are on the same page.
Two Sedins are hard to stop. But three are even harder.

GM Mike Gillis confirmed that Pavol Demitra was in Vancouver to look at the city before retuning home for the off season. Denitra is an upcoming UFA.

Should Demitra be traded?

In half the games played Wellwood has put up the same points, doesn't have a negative plus/minus, better shooting percentage, both his goals were on the PP, Pavol has no PPG.
Demitra has only won half his faceoffs, 28 of 56.
Kyle has won 10 of 14, 71.4%
I'm not really saying we should trade Demitra but he isn't producing the way he should be considering he is getting more money than Kyle, even Edler and Mitchell have more points. He also doesn't have much support from Pyatt but Mason is producin...

Does Demitra's Injury Force MG to make a Trade?

With Demitra out for up to 4 weeks now, im interested to see how MG reacts to this whether he makes a deal or not.
If you think about it that means 10 games approximately, give or take a few, that we will be without Demitra. Everyone is excited to see Wellwood come in as replacement and put up 2 points in his first game, but we have to be honest Our 2nd line is:
Raymond - Wellwood - Pyatt
This is not a 2nd line, even though Wellwood is talented and I wish him all the best and really hope he play...

Jeff Leyland (Team 1040) is saying that not only has Demitra been in Vancouver the last few days and been seen around the city, that he has been telling people that he will be a Vancouver Canuck next season...
Apparently Naslund (they are both former Gillis clients) is giving him a tour.

Hey, I was just wondering if there was any word on Demitra... I mean, I haven't heard much of him even around these boards about him signing here or of his current status.
Are there other teams interested in him, or is he pretty much gauranteed to come to Vancouver?

Well obviously the choice the Gillis made was to go in a new direction and bring in Pavol Demitra, while letting Markus Naslund go.
My question to you is, who would you rather have? Both signed identical contracts so term/compensation is not a factor.
