How to copy a control and paste it with its local variable instead of a new...
Asked on: 30 Jun 2005
I have almost 150 controls inside a conditional block. For another condition I need to use the same controls. So, I am using local variables for that. I don't want to wire the whole diagram again. So, I copied it and pasted it in the other condition. For all the controls I had in the previous condition, LabView created new controls. Is there any way to paste the copied diagram with the local variable of the corresponding controls instead of a new control?
Thanks in advance.

Using numerical control decrement arrow to meet the minimum value of the ...
Asked on: 24 Oct 2008
If I repeatedly use the decrement control of a numeric control, should I expect it to eventually arrive at the minimum value of the control? Consider the case where the minimum of a numerical control is set to 40 (integer), the increment size is set to 25, and the present value of the control is 70. Could I expect to decrement the control value to 40, or am I only going to get as close as the value 45? This latter case is was I am experiencing. Is there a way to get a decrement down to 40 (...

First gun control, now machete control?
Asked on: 07 Nov 2008
NYC's councilwoman wants to ban machetes. First of all, I don't know if the municipality can do that, and, second of all, the same arguments against gun control come up.
As for gun (or machete) control, I'm still not convinced either way. I'm a fence sitter for now, though I was a gun control advocate.

Financial Fate - Are you in control or being controlled?
Asked on: 02 Dec 2008
To what extent are we in control of our own fate, or are we mere victims of the ups and downs of the economy, the coincidental timing of our financial milestones and circumstances beyond our control? Given that financial awareness influences the decision making of the informed, most of us are at the mercy of an unpredictable world.

Help! How do I get Mackie Control XT to work as an ACT controller?
Asked on: 31 Oct 2008
I have just upgraded from SONAR 3 Producer to 8 Producer. One
of the many features I am experiencing for the first time is
ACT. Something I have been very excited about. However I cannot
seem to get my Mackie Control Extender (not Pro) to work as an
ACT controller as I thought it would.
I have a Mackie Control and two extenders. On my desktop I have
the first extender (XT1) on the left, the Mackie Control in the
center and XT2 on the right. i.e. when you look at my control
suftace as a whole you...

Controller Ass't Learned: How to Record Control Movements?
Asked on: 13 Sep 2008
I've assigned my modwheel to control cutoff for ESP using the Learn function (controller assignments). Works fine when I move the wheel. Great! Now, how do I record my modwheel movements to automation?
Stumped!
[EDIT] -- for that matter, how do I record any of my CC's assigned to various synth parameters to automation? (I've now hooked up several sliders from my controller keyboard to manipulate ESP. They all work to move the controls just fine, but I can't seem to record them.)
Stumped!
