Loading Movie Clips - Controling parent clips?

Hello,
I loaded an external swf file into a movieclip called OpenVideoPlayer
loadMovie("VideoPlayer.swf", "_root.OpenVideoPlayer");
It loads fine and all the buttons work in it.
HOWEVER... when I try to control parent video clips or clips on the root level it doesn't work.
At this depth _root.OpenVideoPlayer.TheVideoPlayer IS THE CODE BELOW:

Guys, forgive me for sounding a bit harsh - happy Hallowe'en, by the way - but after not visiting this site for a few days, I return tonight to see that still the only FX1 clips from Kerr/camcorderinfo.com are the silly resolution charts - everyone is promising this that and the other thing but no one is delivering - if it wasn't for Kurihara posting some decent first assessments and links to interesting wmv's... well, I'm just a bit surprised that there hasn't been more progress?

DVCPro HD codec needed to play clips?

I recently shot some DVCPRO HD footage with the HVX-200 and then imported the media into FCP 6 using "log & transfer". Then I burned the Quicktime files onto a data DVD. Unfortunately when my client tried playing the clips, all they got was a Quicktime window that was completely white. I believe this is because their computer doesn't have the proper DVCPRO HD codec installed. If that's the case, is there any way they can view these clips without having Final Cut Pro installed on their machine? I...

How do you split audio for all clips in timeline?

In both VS 11.5+ and X2 Pro trial, if I select a clip in the timeline and right click, "split audio" is an option in the context menu. If I do a CNTL-A to select all clips in the timeline, then right click in one of them, "split audio" is grayed-out.
How do I split audio for all clips in one operation rather than one clip at a time?

Encoding Shortens Clips?

I have a video that I have split into several clips that are chosen by menu. The simulation works perfectly. Each clip plays in its entirety. When I burn the DVD, however, many of the clips are cut short. I have narrowed this down to the encoding process. During the encoding process, several of the clips are cut short. Is there a fix for this?

how to download audio/video clips to my local machine?

How to download audio clips from web site, and stores the audio/video
clips in my local machine so that I don't need to connect to internet
to re-listen/watch the audio/video clips?
When I right click the link and select 'save target as', it only
downloads the 1KB .ram file. any ideas?

Posting anime clips from YouTube has become commonplace on forums. Although the answer seems obvious, what is ANN's policy concerning YouTube anime clips? I believe such clips make useful references however I also feel this condones illegal distribution.
