I had always thought they looked quite alike but on watching Soapstar Superstar last night I noticed that the actress who plays Jez the barmaid was in the audience watched Wendi Peters. Are they related?

Set the storyline.
Chesney Battersby-Brown was taken into care after Social Services found out he was living in horrible conditions. I have been following this storyline but never once have Social Services mentioned his step father, Les Battersby. As far as I recall, Les disappeared somewhere (not sure where, missed some episodes). Then Cilla uped and went to live in Vegas, leaving Chesney behind who I may add, is a minor and Cilla can be prosecuted.
