Investment cash recategorize as "cash" - how?

I have a cash account with an investment firm; it therefore shows up under "Investments" and not "Cash", which makes using the "Your Cashflow" function impossible. Is there a way to denote this specific cash account as....cash? I marked it as such in the description field, however I suspect that it is being grouped based upon the financial institution and not the account type.

VUL - Need cash, should I cancel/cash out my policy?

I am 30 and have a variable universal life policy for the past 5 years. I am having some financial difficulty and need cash ASAP. I was looking into taking a loan against the policy but then I started wondering if I even needed the policy at all and maybe should cancel it and save the monthly premiums ($100.00). If I do cancel, would it be easier to get another type of policy while I still have this one and then cancel? Also, what would be the consequences of each choice - loan vs cancel?

cash ISA, does the tax man look into it if you are self emlployed?

i'm new to this and have a question i've been thinking about for a while
im self employed, and sometimes get the oppertunity to do some cash jobs.
i was wondering if i put that cash into my isa, will the tax man ever look into it or question me about it?
also, if i use the cash to pay off credit cards, will the tax man find out?
