Canon 30D, Iso-Noise, your help/opinions please?

I am trying to improve my 'bird' captures, especially around our property. My camera is a Canon 30D, the lens I am using, Canon DO IS USM 70-300 mm lens, F4.5-5.6. Noise seems to be ok up to around 500 iso, but often that is not sufficient to match high speed shutter settings. When pushed to 1000 iso I start getting noise showing up. Any ideas how I can get around this? I know there is a much faster Canon Zoom lens available (2.8 by memory) but the price is somewhat beyond me, (or my wife would...

hi guys
looking to buy a sencond hand dslr (i currently am using a minolta dimage a1) and i ahve stumbled across a second hand 30d
just really wanted to know if this would be a good camera to get into photography with (just as a hobby mainly) the guy whos selling it has no price on it and want to make me an offer.
how much should i look to pay for one body only?
if it makes and difference i'm in the uk atm

Worth buying a used Canon 30D?

I am considering purchasing a used Canon 30D, however since it is an older model (announced nearly 2 years ago), I'm wondering if it is a wise idea (or go for a newer low end model)?
I see the shutter life is 100,000 shots. How many is a reasonable amount to expect when looking for a camera? I have owned my Panasonic compact for 2.5 years and taken around 8000-9000 shots, but obviously that is just general family/hobby shots.
I have also been reading about the 30D having issues with a blue tint...

Canon 30D versus the XTi?

Canon 30D Remote Shutter?

I'm touring four countries in Europe for 20 days in less than a month and need to order a Remote Shutter for my camera ASAP! I heard that the 30D didn't come with a wireless remote but I found something on Ebay that says otherwise. Is this legit? Do you know if it will really work with the 30D?

Any Suggestions for a Wireless Remote for a Canon 30D?

Hello all,
I'm looking for a reliable, yet reasonably priced Wireless Remote that is compatible with a Canon 30D. I found the Canon LC-5, but it costs like $500 which is waaaay too much.
I found the following results on ebay (http://search.ebay.com/canon-wireless-remote-30d_W0QQ_trksidZm37QQfromZR40). Are any of these search results acceptable or do I want to look for some name brand equipment when it comes to Wireless Remotes? Any specific suggestions on models?
