Where goes the lamp? / Where does the lamp go?

Hi everybody:
I was taught that the correct way to ask where one should put the something is "where does the lamp go?" but today, in a document I'm reading, I encountered "where goes the lamp?".
Are both forms actually correct?

Since reinstalling, then adding in SP1, many of my extra aircraft are gone. And some of the ones still showing used to have a pile of variations, now there's only two or three.
