New Star Trek Movie... Any Trek fans here?

I just watched the trailer for the new Star Trek movie looks sick!
I wouldn't say I'm a die hard Trekkie or anything but I've watched all the old episodes with my Grandfather growing up and seen all the movies, some were really bad, others better, this one looks way different and very cool...

While this thread has Trek XI in the title, it's really much more about conventions, hence why it's here, not there...
When Slanted Fedora went belly-up, it was no shock. It was a long time coming. David Scott and company where crooks. They pissed the fans off. They pissed the celebrities off. I have two, they are Star Trek 3 and Star Trek Generations. Somewhere in my heart I have a spot for The Wraith of Khan and the rest of the first 6.

I subscribe to the RSS feeds at sites like TrekToday and TrekWeb, but in terms of blogs, I don't seem to know of many. The only two I've been regularly reading are from opposite ends of Trek history:

Well I been wondering,with so many Star Treks,I wanted to know,who is the best Star Trek Captain?
I ll say that the best Captain is Jean Luc Picard from TNG.
Although I must admit Jonathan Archer did a decent job.
