What is the minimum tread depth that you would ride on before getting new tires? The book says 1/32 in. or 2 mm.

Could this be a tyre tread at Shanksville?   Asked on: 12 Jun 2007
I was looking through a few photographs of the Shanksville crash scene and I noticed something odd in one of them. All the way to the left it looks like a tyre tread could possibly be lying on the ground. Or it could just be something else, but if you look closely, it appears to have treads. I was just wondering what you all though since I've never seen anyone mention this before, sorry if it has been discussed.

Treading water, once and for all, can someone solve this for me?   Asked on: 03 Nov 2006
I apologize for having three active threads. This is the last one. I promise. =) I'm *REALLY* confused about treading water. I've seen all the videos. I understand what sculling is. I've tried numerous things in the water. I've heard all kinds of conflicting information. As I understand it, there are various kinds of kicks you can use to varying degrees of efficiency including: - an 'upright' breastroke kick - a scissor kick - a bicycle kick - a 'frog' kick? - an egg-beater kick I don't fully un...

Where Ancients Tread combo?   Asked on: 13 Nov 2008
So, I have no idea how, but this idea just popped into my head... Where Ancients Tread Auriok Salvagers Phyrexian Dreadnaught [mana]2W[/mana]: Deal 5 damage to target creature or player at sorcery speed. Not bad. Okay, Pandemonium would be better. But I just wanted to come up with a combo for WAT. Alternatively: Primal Forcemage Eternal Witness Momentary Blink Where Ancients Tread does the same thing for [mana]1W[/mana] and more extended legal, but definitely more vulnerable. Anyone know how to...

Adding Tread to a Tire?   Asked on: 09 Apr 2008
Okay, I've found some very interesting stuff but I'm not sure I'm searching right... I'm trying to see if anyone have ever posted about how to add tread to a tire? I've decided to go more in depth with my fire engine model and after reviewing pictures of our apparatus' tires I've decided to tackle them head on... So far I've got the "face" of the rim to where I think it looks good, it isn't to scale and I decided to make it big so I wasn't crammed into a corner trying to add the tiniest details....

New Tyre Tread Depth?   Asked on: 04 Nov 2008
It's a very long shot, I know, but does anybody know any of the following: Is the tread depth the same on all new road tyres, regardless of type or brand (Mind you, I can't see why it should be, but I've learnt not to discount anything in this world!)What's the tread depth of a new Michelin Pilot Primacy?Do tyres tend to wear linearly, i.e., if x mm of rubber are worn away in 5000 miles, will 2x mm be gone in 10000 miles, and 4x mm after 20000? I know this is all a bit nerdy, but I checked my ty...
