Does it make things easier to plan things out before programming?
Asked on: 12 Oct 2008
I know this may seem like a stupid question, but as a Actionscript beginner i'd like to know if its easier to plan things out before hand. Basically i've got to make a Class that does the following:
- Creates a shape with a size and colour defined by values passed through the constructor
- the initial position of the shape should be passed to the constructor
- the horizontal vertical speed should be passed to the constructor
- the initial direction (up or down) should be passed through to the co...

Things to do with okra?
Asked on: 27 Oct 2008
I have a pack of okra. Now I need some recipe suggestions (vegetarian or fish-based). Boiling and griddling are okay, but unadventurous. I'm thinking of a curry dish, but Snopester suggestions are welcome!

Are things slowing down?
Asked on: 17 Oct 2008
Referring to those of you who already have a hosting business for a few years till now - are you affected by the market news? I'm doing OK usually but there's a drop in leads in the last few weeks. I also feel like cutting my SEM budget as I have a lot of rising costs. But it's almost like nobody really wants to spend any budget nowadays...

How do things work?
Asked on: 20 Nov 2008
How does voting work. It seems I've got two votes. At least one with a written review.
This one states excellent, the other one I don't know.
However the five stars in the listing are grey stars. And even if I would have receicved a vote "nothing" I still should have 2 and a half orange stars as 0 + 5 diveded by 2 is 2.5.
Or am I missing something? My extension moved up in the ranking but I actually don't know why and how.
It probably does have a reason, but I don't know what... How does this ra...

Suggestions (books, projects, things to learn, things to do) for a 2nd year Computer Science Student over Winter Break?
Winter Break is soon approaching and I feel like accomplishing something over it. I am a sophomore computer science student, and I was wondering what the hive mind might suggest to do with all this new time available! Any computer books, online lectures, sample projects (Im going to learn C# over break, maybe some open source projects that are friendly to noobs?) or whatever to...

Do you like to eat things that look like other things?
Asked on: 03 Mar 2008
I was looking for a cake picture to post in the posting thread but none seemed to say just the right thing.
However, I did come across this beauty of a hamburger cake and immediately thought...I want to eat that!
Do you enjoy your food to look like other things? Do you style your mash potatos before you eat them? Are your smarties arranged in DNA sequences?
Really, I just want cake.
