Wait a minute- text pen and text stroke are unrelated?
Asked on: 28 Feb 2008
Sorry if this is a common sense or correct me if I am wrong- but why doesnt the text pen determain the stroke width of the text? Then how do you control the line width of text? My text is thin/light and is very hard to read.

Do you ever get texts with text missing?
Asked on: 23 Oct 2008
Do you ever get a text that you read, then when you scroll down and are just about to get to the part that is important or interesting, it says *Text missing*, so then you have to wait for the rest of the text to arrive?

See how the text comes in as random generated text before revealing the real text. Its like that matrix or space aged thing happening.
Here are some code that I found, but don't know how to modify it to do this:
Code: var str:String = " What is the answer"; var sInt = setInterval(writeIt,1); var count:Number = 0; var s:Sound = new Sound(); s.attachSound("type"); function writeIt() { if(count == 0) { s.start(0,1000); } theText.text = st...

Java package that parses text layout and writes plain-text output?
Asked on: 04 Nov 2008
Ever heard of nroff? Well nroff is a UNIX tool dating back to the late Middle Ages. It's a companion of another tool called troff. These programs read source files with simple formatting markup. The output of troff was originally some weirdness to drive photo-typesetting machines. It's cousin nroff, however, produced (and still produces today) plain text. What that means is that there are no real "bold" characters, no italics, no large and small - just plain text that you'd see on an ASCII termi...

- E-Mail Format - Plain Text or Formatted Text?
Asked on: 27 Jul 2007
I am having a heck of a time with format of my cover letter.
When I send out my plain text cover letter by e-mail, different e-mail programs (Outlook, Thunderbird) read the fonts differently. Sometimes the font looks too large or too small. Sometimes it would go to two pages.
How to get the font to stay the same for all the e-mail programs?
