Stram TV using my old Bt484 tv card?

Hi.
I have 2 computer. laptop and a desktop one that has the tv card.
They are connected via Wrt54gs router. Laptop Wireless, Desktop Wired.
What I want to do but it doesn't work is to stram the tv card to my laptop.
I installed Vlc on both computers and used the stream wizard.
I can see TV and it works great on the desktop using VLC. But the streaming just doesn't want to work.
File I am able to stram without any problem and it works flawlessly

TV-out 16:9 goes 4:3 on TV?

My TV-out of a 16:9 movie is 4:3 on my TV! How can i fix this?
I have a 4:3 tv and want it to show in 16:9 original format!

what kind of TV digiboxi is suitable for cable TV?

Hi,
I got a 10-year old TV and am looking for a digiboxi to receive the free-to-air channels. What kind of digiboxi is suitable for cable TV? DVB-T,DVB-S,or DVB-C? I guess DVB-C, but please kindly clarify for me.

SD tv looks awful on HD tv, is it because I don't use a cable box?

I bought a (cheap) HD tv a while back. The free local HD channels look great, my 360 looks good and so do all of my recent DVDs played through the 360, but all of the SD cable channels look like absolute ass. I don't have a cable box at all, just a direct coax into the TV. I was just wondering if getting a cable box (comcast) and using component or HDMI to the tv would improve the quality of the SD signal much.

Apple TV vs. WD TV?

So i'm looking to get either the Apple TV or the WD TV for my parents this Christmas. Basically, they love when I have my computer/360 home so they can watch all my stuff, so I was gunna set this up for them.

Proper TV-Out trough S-Video to a CRT TV, How?

It's not hard to get a picture from a computer to a TV screen, only that this picture is wrong in so many ways.
I use a laptop with nVidia GeForce 8600m GS and NVIDIA Control Panel ver: 1.50.30.31
The TV is a Sony 16:9 widescreen CRT.
And I live in a PAL land.
Problems:
- the resolution is wrong (I can't force 576 line resolution)
- the refresh rate is wrong (I can't force 50Hz)
- the colors are a bit wrong (purple and green seen on gray areas)
- the picture is flickering
- the aspect ratio is w...

From 4:3 CRT tv -> 16:9 CRT tv on my HTPC: What resolution?

I currently use a PAL 29" CRT tv on my HTPC (the videocard is ATi HD3450 512MB, Catalyst 8.7) and the normal res for CRT tv's is 720x576 (720x480 for NTSC if i'm correct) and i'm using that res for desktop and games.
Today i will get a PAL 32" Widescreen CRT (very cheap), but can i keep the same res or do i need to select a widescreen res as what we have with LCD monitors/tv's (for example 1440x900 is WS)?
I'm afraid that my image will become wider and that the aspect ratio will be screwed. Don'...

Hteo bih da preko TV-outa prebacim sliku sa kompjutera na televizor. Dobio sam jos neki dodatak uz kompjuter koji se ukljuci u tv-out pa se dobije ono RGB i Svideo...
Kako da povezem? Da li je problem to sto je televizor udaljen od racunara oko 20 metara? Da li je problem naci dugacak kabl?
Da li se na TV povezuje preko skarta ili obican prikljucak kao sto je antena za analognu televiziju?

Best service provider for satellite TV and cable TV?

What is the best company to deal with if you want to get a satellite TV system or other TV content not offered on cable TV or MOD?
I contacted three companies, and I have to tell you, the experience ranged from very pleasant and helpful to very rude and unhelpful .
The companies I talked to are:
-Talasat
-Taiwansatellite
-Sat2Me
Those are the only companies we found that spoke English.
Has anybody else dealt with any of these companies?
