What will you do when gas reaches $4/gal?
Asked on: 11 Mar 2008
Just curious as to what people will do to not get jacked by gas prices. They will eventually reach $4/gal. As is I'm already spending ~$250/month on gas. I have a 17 mile commute (against traffic )
Also my company may move closer to San Diego and since we're renting it will definitely influence my decision to move further south.

Tuesday's deadline came and went with no long-term deal for franchise player Stacy Andrews, one of the club's right tackles, so with the Bengals carrying his $7.5 million salary for the entire season here is what could be next on the timeline:
They figure to reach deals with sixth-rounder Corey Lynch and seventh-rounder Angelo Craig in the next few days and deals for third-rounder Pat Sims and fourth-rounder Anthony Collins will at least be convenient. They both have Atla...

Notification When Drive Reaches Critical Capacity?
Asked on: 28 May 2004
Does anyone have suggestions on how I would go about getting Linux to let me know when a drive is nearing capacity? Such as when the drive is 95% full.
The only way I thought about doing it would be to set a crontab to try to awk out the percentage area of a 'df' command and then shoot me an email if it reported higher than 94%. I'm sure there's a better way to do do this but I haven't found one as of yet.
Can anyone offer suggestions?

Will a climbing rose grow till it reaches the sun?
Asked on: 12 Mar 2004
I've got a six foot fence in my garden, facing north-west . If I plant
a rose (that I've bought and planted anyway - "dreaming spires" -
supposed to be "vigorous", but at the end of the day only cost me £2.50
at Safeways) = so, if I plant it, shaded by this fence, will it have
the sense to grow up, like a lonicera, hoping for a good time (if it
does it will find lots of light at the top of the fence) or will it
just moulder and fade the way I sometimes feel like doing in my shady
garden?
