Moving from Dual Core + Quad Core to Dual Quad Core?

Hello,
Right now we have two servers:
DDBB Server:
Model Dell PowerEdge R200
Processor Intel Dual Core Pentium E2200, 2,2Ghz
Hard Drive 1 x 160 GB SATA
RAM 1 GB
Application server:
Model Dell PowerEdge R200
Processor Intel Quad Core Xeon X3220 2,4 Ghz
Hard Drive 2 x 250 GB SATA RAID 1 Hardware
RAM 2 GB
We are thinking about migrating both servers to the one bellow for a higher performance:
Model Dell PowerEdge 1950 SAS
Processor 2 X Quad Core Intel® Xeon® E5410 2.33Ghz, 2x6Mb Cache

Intel Quad core versus- AMD Quad core - which to get?

My question as above:
1) Which is the faster system (including chipset)? I am not looking at the latest Nehalem core for Intel.
2) Which is more expensive?
3) Which is more easily overclocked? (Standard cooler, no voltage change)
4) Which is better value?
It's hard to find a reliable head-to-head quad-core comparo on the net...

To quad core or not the quad core?

Hi all,
I am planning to get a new laptop shortly and am looking at getting something with a bit of poke. The question is what CPU shall I go for. I not sure which of the following 3 options to go for:
1. Powerful dual core (i.e. 3Ghz)
2. Desktop quad core (e.g. Q9550)
3. Laptop quad core (QX9300)
Each one has its merits but what one should I go for? I intend to play games on this machine for some time to come, as well as some internet and MSOffice work. I intend to move it from room to room but...

quad with lockers? Is there a quad that comes stock with locking diffs? like the rubicon of quads? the wifey is saying we should get quads, and after having several 4x4's without lockers i wouldn't consider buying without unless i didn't have a choice...

Which Quad Core is best?

I am thinking of buy a processor, most probably quad one.
Now I did a bit of reasearch on both Intel and Amd quads and also saw there videos on tigertv but am bit confused. No clear winner.
Which one is better Inter Core 2 Quad or AMD Phenom Quad Core?
So which one you guys would suggest me, or do any other if you have in mind.
