In a recent private conversation, a member shared with me how they came to poets.org. I found it incredibly interesting and thought it might be fun for folks to share this. Here's my story: I ended up on a three year hiatus from writing. I literally wrote nothing during that time period. After we moved to Oregon, I found some new life in my creativity and wanted desperately to get back to it--but had no idea where to start. I converse via PM on a multitude of subjects with different people here and elsewhere. One thing that has come up several times is the trend that encourages women to explore their feminity in literature, but discourages men from doing the same.
