22ret pistons and 22r pistons?

i was just wondering if the stock pistons from a stock 22ret is the same as the stock pistons from a regular 22r?

Anyone tried .0047" piston-wall clearance with CP pistons?

I bought a used gsr short block which was already bored to 81.5mm. Unfortunately it had to be rehoned, and that bumped the piston to wall clearance to .0047".
This block already came with 9.7:1 forged CP turbo pistons, and CP recommends .0035" clearance for these pistons.
Will there be any side effects, beside piston slap when cold, running such loose clearances?

Grand national pistons?

was told by someone on tccoa that a friend of theirs ordered forged pistons from morana and they turned out to be gn pistons, i found a few on summit with different bore sizes and was wondering if anyone knew what pistons would work for our engines?

Should Pistons < Spurs Change His Username?

Here's the deal. Pistons < Spurs, formerly known as Prince, er, I mean Pistons > Spurs, made a bet with Kori that if the Pistons lost to the Spurs in the '05 finals he's change his username. Thus the humiliating username of Pistons < Spurs has hung on his neck like an albatross for the last 2 years.
Poll: Should Pistons < Spurs change his username? <I think it's time>
Reason: It's a given that the Spurs are > the Pistons.

Question? Do lighter pistons mean more power?

If the pistons are lighter, does the engine make more power. I think some hemi or sixpack pistons weighed as much as 1100 grams (454 grams per pound). I think the JE slugs in my Cuda weigh about 760 grams. I know one thing, it sure revs up there quick!

Ideal 1st gen pistons?

SO what are the best cummins pistons to use in a high performance 1st gen build.
I was going to go with pistons from a 96 215hp motor, but after finding out in another thread that there are 4 different bowl variations I am open to opinions.
Would a non-intercooled piston be better? Im not sure how the bowl compares to the 215 piston? As far as I know the ring locations are the same for those two, which are better than the other pistons.
